These files can be imported for analysis purposes into software such as Excel, Microsoft Acccess, SPSS, etc. Basic information is provided in the data files about the structure of the data and the meaning of the variables. Data Curation Procedures ======================== Research data sets acquired for our SADAR Repositorium undergo a review prior to publishing and release. This ensures that data, documentation and metadata are available in the highest standard possible to ensure the data can be reused by others and to ease its archival preservation process. The curation procedures undertaken will depend on the individual nature of each dataset. In general, the following tasks are undertaken: . Data are documentation files sent are checked for consistency and accuracy . Variable and value labels are checked . If necessary, multiple data and documentation formats may be generated for dissemination and preservation purposes . Metadata is generated for the dataset and a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) assigned. .
